„The relations” we create in life, in relationships, is a topic that I have been looking at for years. This is another series of works, this time naturally combined in the painting fascination with the form of stones…

Relations between two objects, layers, shells. It fascinate me by the form of stones, their unusual shape, hidden beauty, a creation of nature. Sensual or rough shape, power, external hardness. Sometimes I imagine what is inside them if I cut them and show the hidden interior. As with most precious stones, their beauty hidden under a hard coating needs to be penetrated, split, pierced through a hard and sometimes brittle armor to see their magnificence and beauty in full.

I also see these stones as two shaped forms that try to meet, be, approach, touch, connect, interact with each other. Sometimes, under the influence of this meeting, miracles happen and warm emotions can begin to penetrate from under the cool top layer… and sometimes reversed, the seemingly warm stone inside emanates hidden cold….

These are meetings, a record of mutual interactions, relationships.

The works are mostly created on canvas in the 90x100cm format using the oil paint technique.
